Kitzbuhel Hahnenkamm Juniors

I was lucky enough, along with 5 team mates, to represent GBR as one of 12 national teams invited to the Hahnenkamm Juniors Races in Kitzbuhel, Austria. Part of the blue riband Kitzbuhel world cup week; we raced on unbelievable pistes in an unbelievable atmosphere. It was an unforgettable trip and I've written a blog on the Ambition website so you can read more about it. We didn't beat the Swiss, the USA or even Lichtenstein but we had an amazing, and ...

Kitzsteinhorn Training with Ambition

Half term was my first training camp with Ambition Racing in Leogang Austria. Two weeks on the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier and an introduction to Haus Tirol. Despite losing 2 days to a closed glacier we got some good training in and once the snow stopped the weather was great as you can see from the video I've posted. Looking forward to my next trip at Christmas and three-course suppers.

Trofeu Borrufa

A frustrating week in Andorra at the Trofeu Borrufa resulted in only two finishes across five race events including a mistake at gate 41 which ruined a potentially good slalom run. Overall Team GB came 5th thanks to great results from the girls including a win for Anna Henderson in SC, second in GS and second for Megan Jenkins in SG. Esmie Davies and Melissa Maiklem also got top-ten results. A small resort with great off-piste, I'd go back.

Andorra Bound

After the bad news of the Czech race cancellation in Ricky it's good news with a last-minute entry to the FIS races in Vallnord Andorra where there's four days racing including Super-G and Super Combined. The snow looks good, it's cold so hopefully good race conditions. Heading out this Saturday with the team for a few days of practice ahead of races starting on Monday 27th January. I'll post again with some results when I get back.

Skiinterkriterium Cancelled

After BSS selection to race in the Czech Republic at the Skiinterkriterium I was disappointed to hear today that the races have been cancelled due to poor snow conditions. So far not a good year for racing.

Season opener in Les Houches

After a week of Christmas snow in the Aosta Valley and some great off-piste skiing, Les Houches was pretty bare by comparison but some overnight snow ahead of the BSA Grand Prix provided enough cover for racing. My first U16 race and season opener on the Kandahar Verte piste was tricky as the soft snow quickly rutted with over 60 boys and girls in U16. By run 2 the course was a roller coaster but I managed to stay in ...

GB Team re-selection

Following the British Championships in early April and some fitness testing in May I've been re-selected for the GB Children's Team. This year I'm U16 and looking forward to a challenging season at this new level. Congrats to all the others who made the u16 and u18 teams.
